Update About Tomorrow Night's Show

Merchants (AKA Bryan, the guitarist in Ivy Dye) will be filling in for us tomorrow night. He’s super talented and is definitely worth going out to see. Show starts at 6 PM and is at Reggie’s Rock Club. Sorry if this inconvenienced anyone. The next time you’ll be able to see us is March 13th at Beat Kitchen.

Chicago, I (Chris) am pretty sick right now. I frequently get bacterial tonsillitis infections, and it seems like it flared up again with the past couple days, but hit hard last night. As of right now, I don’t know the fate for our show tomorrow night. If I’m still like this, there’s absolutely no way I’ll be able to perform (think the flu, but with a sharp pain in your throat as well). I’ll update on here, Twitter, and Facebook throughout the day. Thanks for listening, and sorry.

Chicago! We have a show Thursday, February 28th at Reggie’s. It starts at 6 PM and is all ages, so there’s no reason not to go! This show is important because it decides if we get to play at the Bash On Wabash that will be happening later in August. The chances of us winning a spot are better if more people come out, so let’s see ya there.

For less than a year and a half now, musician Chris Adams has been slowly assembling a catalog of songs — and, a band. Ivy Dye began as a solo project for Adams, but it’s since grown into a 4-piece. With equal hints of late ‘90s indie, and mid-‘80s new wave, Ivy Dye’s crossbred retro elements come together in straight-up delightful, and ultimately fresh-sounding songs.

Adams & members of Ivy Dye join us to talk about their new EP, Continuations. The album gets its official release this Saturday and Ivy Dye performs a record release show that same night at Elbo Room in Chicago.
